WeeM 2026 is over but check this site in the spring of 2027 for information about our next RG which will be held Oct. 28th-31st, 2027.
You had a great time in years past, and this year promises to be more memorable than ever.

Tournaments
We will have a wide array of tournaments just as we have every year!
Tournaments are offered in separate room(s) from the Open Gaming room.
The hotel layout for HalloweeM can be found here.
This year, once again, the tournament Amazing Race: WeeM Style
is back by popular demand—
- Name That Tune Music Trivia (Thursday)
- 7 Wonders Tourney (Thursday) If you have copies of 7 Wonders, please bring them! We need a few additional copies of the game.
- Werewolves of WeeM (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
- What is a Megagame: an Introduction and Experience (Thursday)
- Blood on the Clocktower (Friday)
- Drag Queen Bingo (Friday)
- Logic Problem Tournament (Saturday)
- Poker Tournament (Saturday)
- WeeM Pub Trivia (Saturday)
- Amazing Race - WeeM Style (Sunday)
Sign-up sheets for the tournaments (including ones that may not be listed) will be located in Hospitality near Ravinia A, the Games Room.
Games
The game room will be available around the clock, with the Chicago Area Mensa collection of (at last count) over 380 games. We’re sometimes asked what games we have, by people who bring games to RGs and don’t want to tote one that will already be on hand. We’ve got you covered! Over on Board Game Geek, you can find the list of our entire collection (minus a couple of oldies for which the Geek has no entry). Check it out!
Please be considerate. WeeM attendees are expected to clean up after themselves. When finished playing, put all game components back into the box. Also remove all cups, plates, utensils, wrappers, papers, personal items, etc. before leaving the Games Room. The hotel staff does not bus Hospitality nor the Games Room.
Contests
There are also contests at WeeM like the annual Costume Contest and the Volunteer Raffle. Occasionally there have been additional contests but it hasn’t been decided what may be offered. The list below includes some that were offered in the past. Contact the HalloweeM Chair if you’d like to propose and be in charge of a contest.
- Cookie Decorating Contest
- Build your own Scarecrow - Bring some old clothes from home; get creative and build a traditional or unusual scarecrow! There will also be some stuff supplied but you may have some better garb to give your scarecrow “personality.”
- Costume Contest - Friday night’s costume parade is legendary. There are winners in multiple categories: best pun, worst pun, best traditional, best based on the WeeM theme, and even best bribe -- so this year, go adventurous, musical, or out-of-this-world.
-
Volunteer Raffle - Although not a contest, the more hours you
volunteer, the more chances you get to win prizes, doubled if you sign up in advance—
and, although being kind, generous, and considerate is its own reward, who doesn’t need a few extra bucks! . Winners announced Sunday morning. Winners of the larger award amounts need not be present.
Only 74 days until AGOG . Join us for a long weekend of fun and games. This year, AGOG will feature the Megagame After the Throne where dozens of players navigate diplomacy, intrigue, shifting alliances, and competing ambitions in a kingdom without a ruler.
Do you like games? Do you spend the entire WeeM weekend in the games room? Would you like to do again? No, we're not asking you to wait almost an entire year until WeeM 2027. Instead, we're saying you can do it again this January!!! Every winter, Chicago puts on AGOG—A Gathering of Gamers. It's a weekend-long gathering of just games while socializing with fellow Mensa members and friends. All the games we have at WeeM and more, because folks like you can bring your own to share. We provide food, non-alcoholic beverages, and all the games you want for a reasonable price. Do you have awesome gamer friends? Of course you do. Invite them! AGOG is explicitly welcoming non-members—it’s a great way to introduce them to our fun, quirky family.
Sunday, November 15th is the last day you can register for the reduced rate of $105 (ages 18+) and $65 (ages 9-17). Registering on-site will be an additional $20 for ages 18+ and $20 for ages 9-17. Non-Mensa members (ages 9+) pay an additional $5.
Friday, December 25th is the last day to book a room for the amazing rate of $128 (subject to availability).
