Title
What is a Megagame: an Introduction and Experience
Description
Find out about megagames: 20-50 person 6-hour experiences merging board games and RPGs. Bryan introduced them to Casey and Oriel, and we were intrigued enough to bring our own design to AGOG. Here we'll do a brief interactive talk + Q&A, then spend the duration playing a custom Mini Megagame teaser. It'll be chaotic fun with no AGOG spoilers!
Presenter’s Name
Casey Carraher, Oriel Maxime, Bryan Delfs
Presenter’s Bio
Bryan Delfs has played in a dozen mega games around the country and has run control twice. He enjoys the social interaction and intrigue within the story building of the game. His love of the Game of Thrones and mega games created the perfect platform for designing this new experience.
Casey Carraher is a lifelong collector of hobbies who recently fell headfirst into the gruesome world of special effects makeup. When he isn’t making people look alarmingly injured, he’s an avid board gamer with a particular love for megagames—because apparently regular-sized hobbies just aren’t complicated enough.
Oriel Maxime is a general-purpose STEM-y Mensan. He is a published Logic Problem creator, and has run the WeeM Logic tournament for more than two decades.
